    When 8,000 women in Glasgow went on strike for equal pay, the city's cleansing workers refused to cross the picket lines. Frances and her care worker colleagues joined their fellow GMB members on their picket line this morning. This is what solidarity looks like. ✊

    Thank you to GMB Scotland members in the Glasgow cleansing department for the fantastic job they do to keep the city clean - @gmb_40. Politicians will be quick to praise them again this morning, but what they deserve is a proper pay rise. Claps and praise won’t pay the bills.

    GMB offered proposals to @GlasgowCC to reset industrial relations and to fix Glasgow's waste crisis. These were rejected. Low paid workers and community activists are now standing together across Glasgow to say "enough is enough". Stand with us, not against us. ✊ #COP26
