A commitment to extend and increase statutory sick pay is welcome, but a £10 minimum wage lacks ambition and won’t resolve the recruitment crisis in our social care service. @GMB_union is fighting for a £15 minimum wage for carers.

Our members at the @McVities site in Tollcross have worked through the pandemic. Their employer has tried to stab them in the back. If our members are up for it, we’ll fight the closure. The east end of Glasgow needs manufacturing jobs.
