    The answer to the below question is: All activities should be set up to engage the majority in meaningful learning, and within that, assist the weaker players and challenge the stronger players..

    One of the most common queries asked at coaching courses/workshops is "how do we cater for kids of different abilities in our training sessions?". This usually comes from a coach whose child is in the top 1/3 of players. They want me to say "break them into strong & weak groups"

    2 Minute Blitz Teams: 8 x 3-5 a-side. Match time: 6 matches x 2 minutes Format: Winner of each match moves up a pitch from 4 ➡️ 3➡️2➡️1. Loser goes opposite way. Will end up with strongest teams in pitch 1, weakest in pitch 4. In case of a draw, 🪨 📃 ✂️ to decide winner

    I don't think there is any book or Coaching manual that can touch on these type of responses.. It is the longest managers interview I've ever seen after a match.

    Summer Camp coaches: If you have 20 kids in a group, 4 teams of 5 a side and playing a round robin blitz (3x8 minute games) is much more engaging for the kids than playing 10 vs 10 for 30 minutes. Small Games are the way forward.
