So excited and grateful for this fantastic support for our lab! This is an honor earned by the lab as a community of fantastic, smart, and wonderful colleagues. Congrats, team!
One of the most pleasurable things I've done in recent history is to say no to something, and put the deadline on my calendar anyway so I got to enjoy the absence of that particular burden.
Very pleased that our NSF CAREER award on the developmental response of frog-killing chytrid fungi to amphibian mucus has been funded! 🥳 So excited for the discoveries to come!
The best part of being awarded tenure is sharing the good news with all of the many people who have made it possible! Thanks to my family, lab members, collaborators, colleagues, and friends! Science is a team sport and I'm so glad to have you on my team! 🥰🥰🥰
Good news everyone: my R35 MIRA is funded! 🥳Thanks to awesome lab members and, especially, encouragement from mentors/colleagues over the years💕Curious about emerging model systems and/or the evolution and specification of cytoskeletal networks? Come join the dark side!
We are hiring a molecular biologist to work on chytrid fungi in beautiful western Mass! Help us develop new tools for understudied organisms with important ecological, evolutionary, and cell biology as part of a @MooreFound project w/ @hyphaltip & Tim James. Open to any rank. 1/2
This is such an honor given all of the fantastic research happening in @CNS_UMass! Thanks to my incredible lab members, collaborators, and colleagues who make doing science a delight ☺️🥰
🚨New preprint from the lab! @K_aRobinson and @smprostak discovered how the frog-killing chytrid fungus responds to amphibian mucus: in < 5min it transitions from its motile, dispersal form to its growth form using calcium signaling! Don't worry, actin's involved, too!🐸🍄🔬
Big congrats to @KatrinaVelle on the notice of award for a @NIGMS K99! 🥳Finding out today while hanging out with the magisterial Meg Titus is the cherry on top!
Because of the generous support of the @NSF EDGE program, we now have resources to develop molecular genetics for chytrid fungi! We will be sharing protocols and reagents as we go. So much beautiful cell biology in our future! 🍄🦠🔬😍nsf.gov/news/news_summ…
