- Frisco Fire, along with members from Plano, Lewisville, Fort Worth, McKinney, Dallas, Parker County and Lubbock are headed out to California to assist with several wildfires. Deployment could last up to 2 weeks.
- @FriscoFFD stood in solidarity with our brothers & sisters in blue as the processional for @LittleElmTX PD Officer Walker passed by.
- During this severe weather it is paramount to take care of each other. MPV-201, or the AMBUS, was deployed to help evacuate a nursing home late last night. We are humbled to be able to help those in need.
- Frisco Fire Department is currently working two separate structure fires in the Stonebrook Pkwy/ Teel Pkwy area. Lightning is suspected in both fires. No civilian or firefighter injuries at either fire.
- @FriscoFFD is deploying our Ambus w/ 7 people in support of #HurricaneHarvey. They will be leaving within the hour heading to San Antonio.
- 70 acres were burned this afternoon in a grass fire that started near Legacy and Stonebrook. Thank you to our neighboring fire departments and the men and women of the Frisco FD for their unwavering and excellent service—especially in the high temperatures.
- CORRECTION: Two structure fires Wednesday afternoon in Frisco left both houses unable to be lived in. No occupant or firefighter injuries were reported in either fire. Job well done to the men and women of the Frisco FD! The two fires are still under investigation.
00:00 - Approximately 2,500 customers, including the STAR, Omni and Keurig- Dr. Pepper are without power in Frisco. At about 2pm today, Frisco FD responded to a grass fire in the 3900 block of Legacy Drive. Upon arrival they found an underground electrical transformer on fire.
- Lighting strikes caused two house fires within about 25 minutes of each other. Heavy damage to both houses. The men and women of the Frisco Fire Department did a great job responding to both fires at the same time.
- Outdoor warning sirens are being activated for 1.25” size hail.
