Right before I was elected, I met a pregnant 11 year old who has been raped by her uncle.
What about HER rights?

- I’m a product of public schools and a public university. I drive on public roads to a job where I serve the public. I’m kept safe by firefighters and police officers. Taxation isn’t theft. It’s education. It’s infrastructure. It’s safety. It’s opportunity.
- In Missouri, a bill can be filed in the House, passed to the Senate, sent to and signed by the Governor without needing a single woman’s vote. When you start writing laws telling us what we can and can’t do with OUR bodies, it’s time for that to change.

- Four of the five states with the highest rates of homicide per capita are governed by Republicans in both chambers and in the Governor’s office - including Missouri. Maybe it’s time we take a look at who is making the decisions about our safety.
- 36 lawsuits against public schools in the last 24 hours. How many against charters and private schools? Zero. Doesn’t take much to see what the leadership in this state thinks about our public schools and the kids who learn there.
- A sitting senator said publicly “there are some [contraceptives] that I think are okay and some that I don’t believe in…anything’s on the table”. This should anger and frighten you. Get involved in local elections.
- One of the things I love about being a Missouri Democrat is that I never feel the need to apologize for my public votes or public remarks in private. We are on the right side of history 🏳️🌈
- Eric Greitens saying he isn’t a “career politician” when he’s done nothing for the better part of a decade except beg to be a career politician is sure something. He is *literally* not a career politician because he had to *resign in disgrace* before a career could take off…
- There are people in this world that are trying their best to make their community and their children healthier and safer. Then there are people in this world who are suing those people.
- Your legislature just voted against competitive pay raises for state employees. When no one answers your phone calls, when it takes months to get vital records, and when your roads aren’t cleared, know there were people in this Capitol who tried to fix it and people who refused.
- You’d think “resigned in disgrace in 2018” would be a non-starter for someone running for higher office a few years later.
- Just changed my bio from “Candidate for State Representative” ➡️ “Representative-Elect” and wow, I am so thankful. ❤️
- I have heard from countless people who have been sick or lost loved ones that they regret not getting a vaccine. I have yet to have a single person tell me they regret getting one. Our hospitals are full, our kids are sick, our neighbors are dying. Get your vaccine!
