- Very disturbing video was posted on the DC subreddit tonight. It looks like this violent attack occurred at L'Enfant Plaza @wmata Station. Does anyone have any details? @DCAttorneyGen @EagleEdMartin #Only1DC

00:00- We know this won't be happening again on the Mall!
00:00D.C. National Guard reporting for duty The #USArmy has activated the D.C. National Guard as directed by the President under Title 32 to assist Federal and Washington D.C. law enforcement within the national capitol. U.S. Army photos by Staff Sgt. Deonte Rowell, August 12, - DC had so much momentum. H Street. Navy Yard. City Center. Stanley Cup in 2018. World Series in 2019. Now we are losing two of our teams. We average nearly 3 carjackings a day. Highest murder rate in decades. 6500 stolen cars. And things are getting worse. #ExperienceDC
00:00- Replying to @henryzcohenInteresting. I think NYC is very car dependent and would argue that DC is much more walkable.
- This now-deceased carjacking suspect was previously arrested by MPD for felony threats after threatening to shoot people & saying "I will kill each and every one of you", the @USAO_DC downgraded the charges to misdemeanor threats & then dropped the case. Case 2021 CMD 000523
- DC had 149 carjackings in all of 2013. In 2023, we have 821 with two months still left. What the hell happened?
- You can’t make this up. The 17 year old who carjacked the FBI car had a “court-ordered GPS monitor on” during the carjacking. There has to be a better way!
- Great video from @CFloresNews. This neighbor speaks for the majority of DC residents. Why does it always feel like we are putting violent criminals above law abiding citizens in DC? Enough is enough!
00:00 - Went to a kid’s birthday party this afternoon. Every single family that lives in DC is contemplating how to leave due to crime and quality of life. Truly depressing. And no matter what @BarredinDC tries to say, it wasn’t like this 10 years ago. #Only1DC #BeDowntown l
- Police recommending that DC residents put AirTags in their winter coats so they can be tracked after being stolen. What a sad state of affairs in the Capital city of the most powerful country on Earth.I asked 5D Commander Sylvan Altieri about this. His answer: Apple AirTags
- This city is in a bad, bad place."Give me your dog, or I'm going to kill you": that's what Teffiney Worthy says a suspect told her before snatching her dog from her arms in DC yesterday afternoon (18th/Monroe NE.) Teffiney says she got Hendrix after her dog Memphis drowned in the Aug. District Dogs daycare flood
