hazbin sucks but not for “ouuuhhh show cringe designs bad” it’s actually because if you think about the historical influences heaven and hell’s architecture/aesthetics have you realize it’d basically the worlds most elaborate “white woman civilizes the inner city hoodlums” story

There’s a lot to like about hazbin/helluva imo, I personally like the designs but ive been following vivziepop online since I was a pretty young kid and have always liked her style. Zoophobia is a nonsense half finished clusterfuck of a comic but the characters are fun

The music is mostly fantastic with a few major misses. Whenever either show tries to do a more pop esque or super sad track it’s usually terrible (both carmilla songs in hazbin are awful for instance) but the showtunes are great

The joke writing in helluva boss has been pretty hit or miss with character beats mostly being good, whereas hazbins comedy is great but it’s major character moments mostly fall flat for me

to be clear, I don't think the implication was intended at all, just that (similarly to alastors usage of actual vodou symbology to represent "scary demon magic" instead of solomonic seals & the wendigo stuff) viv just doesnt know enough about the aesthetics shes drawing upon
