- Our local MP @jeremycorbyn visited the Mosque last week to check how the pop up vaccination is going, he heard from the NHS staff and our volunteers how exited they are to see so many people already vaccinated at the Mosque.
- Today after the horrific terrorist attack in #NewZealandMosqueShooting this what we received from members of our local community, a message of solidarity and peace, a resilient community like that won’t be broken by cowards!
- When our bank account was closed in 2014, very few cared! When a man who thinks British Muslims are a "fifth column" has his bank account closed, there is national attention. Why? thetimes.co.uk/article/7095a3…
- A huge loss of a great man, the last time he visited us was during the #streetiftar in Ramadan 2022, he was a supporter of the Mosque and the community and an advocate for peace and justice. #brucekent no doubt will be missedWith great sadness, we have come to know about the passing of our dear friend #BruceKent. Our thoughts are with his family. Bruce was an outstanding campaigner for #peace and #justice in a chaotic world.
- It seems the Jewish Chronicle is at it again. Whipping up hate and Islamophobia. This time against our Mosque and other Mosques. Here's a reminder of the JC's abysmal record on Islamophobia x.com/miqdaad/status…It is awful (albeit not unexpected given the paper's history) that the Jewish Chronicle consistently publishes stuff like this about Muslim institutions Perhaps worth a bit of self-reflection needed given the lies it has been caught in thejc.com/lets-talk/all/…
- Tonight we hosted our annual Iftar with brilliant faith leaders, politicians, and public servants showcasing the best of our local community. Wonderful discussions were had, important reminders were made and delicious food was shared. This is what Ramadan is about.
00:00- Today we commemorated the 7th anniversary of Finsbury Park attack to remember Makram Ali who lost his life and other worshippers who were injured by the attack, our communities in Islington still stand united against hate & that is down to local people leading & showing the way.
- Many thanks to @Arsenal FC and in particular to @aaronramsey for his #Ramadan and #Eid greeting to Finsbury Park Mosque, its congregation and the Muslim community, good luck in your Europa league final tomorrow
00:00 - 4 years ago today our community was subjected to a terror attack where we lost a dear member and 11 others injured. We renew our commitment to unity in face of such hatred & we continue to call on politicians to take the threat of #Islamophobia seriously. islington.media/news/statement…
- As the temperatures drop, we invite all those in need for a hot meal and company every Thursday evening at Finsbury Park Mosque. #MealforAll
- On the 5th anniversary of the Finsbury Park terror attack, we remember Makram Ali, a much-loved member of our community. To move forward, #Islamophobia in all its forms must be tackled. We have seen the tragic consequences when Islamophobia is not addressed. More must be done.
- We were delighted to welcome HRH the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall @ClarenceHouse today on their visit to a new NHS vaccine pop-up clinic that has been put into action at our mosque.
