This is our hero, Deputy Ignacio “Dan” Diaz, currently fighting for his life. Deputy Diaz joined PBSO in 2004 and has been a valued member of our Motor Unit for over 10 years. He is currently in critical condition. We ask for your thoughts and prayers for him and his family

Our hearts are more than heavy today as we announce the passing of Deputy Diaz, the third to die from the recent horrific crash involving our motorcycle heroes. We stand in grief beside their families and friends to mourn and honor them; please lift them in prayer.

Update: The dog rescued by @FHPTampa is safe and receiving care. Troopers brought him to a vet, where he was examined for injuries and received a clean bill of health.
