    Angelina Fanny Hesse suggested to her scientist husband, Walther Hesse, that agar was preferential to gelatin for culturing microorganisms, as it maintains gel properties at warm temperatures. This led Koch to culture M. tuberculosis using agar, without crediting her. #IWD2019
