After 13 years in the legal profession in India as a first generation litigating lawyer my two bit is this. If you have no fathers or uncles in the profession DONT JOIN. There is a very clear almost caste like hierarchy that permeates the Bar. You will not get access to the

Dear Will, I am about five feet ten inches tall and have plenty of tattoos too. I weigh around 90 kgs and bench around 260 to 270. Point being that by the standards of anywhere in the world I am a big man. Unfortunately, on a trip to my spouse's country ie Germany, I have had the
I spent 6 months backpacking alone through India in 2018 & 2019, traveling primarily by overnight bus. As a 6-foot tall tattooed white man I was monetarily taken advantage of many times, and viewed alternately as a walking ATM or photo opportunity wherever I went. But by God’s

Killer diplomacy by India though! Literally holding the balance of power in her own hands! Bismarck would have been proud of this :) finest foreign policy moment for @narendramodi till now!

Today's victory against @jack and @twitter is dedicated to the people of India. We are a five thousand year old civilization and our public discourse cannot be dictated by a foreign corporation that is run by unaccountable tech oligarchs. They will have to abide by the laws

Rahul when you invite someone to your show you are not supposed to ignore them when they are being shoved and dragged off camera. Would have been nice if you had tweeted about that too. @shantanug_ and I were your guests. Do release footage of how I was prevented frum speaking 2
Asked the old and young women of Shaheen Bagh how long will they protest. As long as the government doesn’t take back CAA-NRC came the reply. The government has said no matter how long the protest continues they will not take back CAA. This has become a battle of attrition.

Boss what disappointed me was that you did not even make the feeblest attempt to reprimand the hecklers! Or anybody from your team for that matter.

Terrible the way Shantanu and you were not allowed to say your piece. Folks should have the patience and the grace to hear the point of view of others even if they don’t agree with them. Thank you for making the effort of coming to Shaheen Bagh. Appreciate it.

Show me one line in the bill which says that these people are barred from applying through normal channels? Please dont engage in fearmongering. Senior journalists like you should combat disingormation and misinformation spread in the foreign media.
And the Muslims who are persecuted? Rohingyas? Shias? Balloch? Ahmediyya? We are not a Hindu nation. As the larger generous neighbour of the region we must open our doors to persecuted minorities of ALL faiths.

So after the show @sagarikaghose tells me that she knows for a fact that i have been filling up balloons with semen and she is sure about it. Does this behove a senior journalist like her to make such allegations? To my mind it is a textbook case of sexual harassment!!!

A bit disappointed with @IndiaToday tv. Expected them to handle things more professionally. There was a time when people were trying to push and shove me off the stage and nobody really came to my aid. Lucky that I was not subjected to further violence by the mob
Me & @raghav355 dared to go for a @IndiaToday debate at #ShaheenBagh in @rahulkanwal’s show today. As soon we expressed our views we both were man-handled & pushed. Thanks to @_sabanaqvi & @javedmansari to help us come out mid-debate.

To the paying public. The legal system and lawyers are answerable to nobody. Contrary to what we are told in public. The truth is that our legal system is a miserable failure when it comes to providing justice to the citizens. Pendency rates and the predilection of judges to

Good briefs irrespective of how good or bad you are! Uncle judges will treat their nephews differently. In the arranged marriage market which is 90 pc of all marriages in india you would have no currency. The situation would be even worse if your parents are middle class.

We are not scared of hell! Missionaries have been trying to get us to be afraid of it in order to convert us to Christianity for a very long time now !

Best years of your life slogging 14 hours a day for a wage equal to what a janitor gets paid. It is a waste of your education, potential and life. Dont make the mistake :) End of Rant!

There is also a very clear hierarchy at the Bar. Those with fathers and uncles in the legal profession are treated differently. Especially if you are a woman you should not even bother trying. The Corporate sector is not fair in many ways but if you want to gain some experience
