- After more than 15 years of covering basketball recruiting and college hoops I’m moving on to a new opportunity with CAA Sports in its basketball coaching division. I’m beyond grateful for the time I spent learning and growing at @247Sports and @FoxSports.
- Five of the top eight basketball recruiting classes in the @247Sports Team Rankings are in the SEC. No. 1 Kentucky No. 5 Tennessee No. 6 LSU No. 7 Arkansas No. 8 Auburn
- Today marks the biggest recruiting day for North Carolina since Harrison Barnes committed to the Tar Heels on November 13th, 2009. Cole Anthony (No. 3) & Anthony Harris (No. 65) to UNC in the same day. Two of the best two-way guards in the 2019 class.
- R.J. Davis just signed his Letter of Intent to North Carolina. Roy Williams has five of the top 57 players in the country in his 2020 recruiting class.
- Duke signee Cameron Reddish just scored 53 points at the National Hoops Festival. Best high school performance I've seen in a long time.
- Five-star guard Keon Johnson just officially signed with Tennessee. The Vols have the No. 4 overall recruiting class.
- In October 2014, Markelle Fultz didn't have a scholarship offer & hadn't played varsity. 3 years later he's the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft
- I don't care who is voted as the MVP, LeBron is by far the best player in the World & the MVP every year.
- Jalen Hurts is one heck of a teammate. Gets benched for a stud true freshman & cheering him on every step of the way. So much respect for that kid.
- Truth is UCLA couldn’t afford John Calipari. Kentucky’s Associate Head Coach Kenny Payne makes more money than UCLA’s entire assistant coaching staff combined under Steve Alford.Before I go to bed, let me just say this: I’m coaching at the Univ. of Kentucky. In my opinion, there is no better job in the world to coach basketball. My plan and my desire is to retire at Kentucky. I think the university feels the same as I do and we’ve talked openly about it.
