    A 14 year old child trying on dresses for her quinceañera was killed by LAPD today. We waste $8 million dollars a day paying for these failed responses. We’re taught to call 911 for help, but too many ppl get killed after calling. We need life affirming responses to crises.

    KDL has disqualified himself from public office. We've tried calls for resignation. We've tried censures. We've tried leaving chambers to break quorum. He has refused accountability over and over. So today I spoke to him directly and tell him, yet again, that he needs to go.

    Another day without resignations. The audacity of Cedillo, De Leon, and Martinez still staying in their seats after the President of the United States of America has called them to resign does not surprise me. They were never about the people. They’re only about themselves.

    Don’t tell me that $800k is too expensive for building a housing unit that will house people for generations - when the county currently spends $1 million a year incarcerating one young person in an LA County probation camp.

    We’ve done what many people told us would be impossible. We won this race for #CD1 & will be going to city hall! The people of CD1 have spoken, calling for change by voting to prioritize affordable housing, investments in our elders and young people, and support for renters. 🧵
