    If you're going to the river: • Take notice & follow all riverside signage & warnings signalling dangers and hazards – they're there to keep you safe • If paddling; wear a life jacket, carry a phone, tell others where you are going and always paddle within your ability.

    BREAKING: @thameswater has been fined £3,334,000 for polluting two rivers near Gatwick Airport - and "deliberately misleading" @EnvAgency during the investigation. Several thousand fish died in the incident in 2017. This is a breaking news story - We will update you shortly.

    The Albany Park restoration project has been shortlisted for the @rrc River Prize! Working with @EnfieldCouncil we took the river out of concrete, creating a dynamic river corridor for the Turkey Brook to flow through, whilst reducing flood risk to over 400 homes in Enfield!

    Due to the prolonged hot weather fish have become trapped in shallow pools in the #Mole between Dorking and Leatherhead. Today we carried out a fish rescue in the smaller pools that are a risk of drying out and relocated them upstream. #ClimateChange

    Thames Water has been fined £4 million for discharging an estimated half a million litres of raw sewage into the Seacourt and Hinksey streams in Oxford in July 2016. Judge Francis Sheridan said this was another very serious breach of legislation in an area of outstanding beauty.

    Residents near our temporary flood barrier in #Godalming last night made SOUP and TEA for our staff on site... We KNOW the mental anguish a flood causes... and you still do that... THANK YOU! The barrier's still up, but we can see tarmac! #stormdennis #floodaware 🍜🍜☕️☕️

    Both large barges and a tender vessel have been removed from our land at Hurst Park in #Molesey and will now be destroyed. As part of a multi-agency partner operation, a lot of other vessels have been served eviction notices and action has been taken against other offences.

    Waste carrier checks on 7 vehicles in #Herts. 2 of the vehicles were seized by @HertsPolice for having no road tax. One of the vehicles which did not have a valid waste carrier licence and was illegally carrying scrap metal waste was taken off the road by @DVSAgovuk
