    Replying to @ryanoss123 and @ProfMAGeorge
That disapproving look over the glasses like you're interrupting very important study is KILLING me.

I’ve said it before, but @dog_rates and @dog_feelings are the goodness the world currently needs.
This is Bonnie. She whines during car rides unless someone holds her in the air. 14/10 would apply for this job

Um. So. Is it just me, or does 14 months into a pandemic seem a little late for a myth-busting press conference? #ableg

🧵From the Canadian Trucking Alliance this morning, condemning border blockades: "These are not peaceful protests" and "many of these vehicles and individuals involved in the blockades are not operating heavy trucks or are associated with the trucking industry" /1 #cdnpoli #ableg

I spoke with companies affected by Alberta’s pause on wind & solar projects. None were consulted, nor was the major industry group. Texas-based Proteus says this will chill investment in Alberta & Canada. “We got screwed” the CEO told me #ableg #cdnecon theglobeandmail.com/business/indus…

This is Deku. He's approximately three stories tall. Shedding season is a public health concern. 14/10
a blond golden retriever smiles while standing next to a quaint stone building. the dog’s head is approximately the height of the chimney extending above the roof. a smaller building in the background with yellow windows and black doors only comes up to his shoulder. the blue sky above has a few wisps of clouds overhead
the blond golden retriever pokes his head down into the comparatively tiny doorway of a pastry shop. he’s in profile, so you can see an olive green collar around his neck, suggesting someone has somehow tamed this beast. a blue and white tiered cake is on display in a window case, with the smallest top tier not even the size of the dog’s nose. one of the pup’s front paws is raised, but we don’t think it’s in a menacing way.
the golden retriever rounds a corner on a cobbled street next to a blue and white building with a thatched roof. in the background, two more buildings shine in the sun, though they all seem to have their shutters closed while this giant terrorizes their streets. the dog is smiling blithely. all these buildings may be too small for him to enter, but he’s enjoying exploring nonetheless.
the golden retriever is sitting outside a stone building that has signs that read “Whitbread” and “Griffin Hotel.” the dog could maybe get one paw through the front door. … maybe. a dark green tree fills the frame behind him.

Some personal news: Thrilled to be moving to the Globe & Mail to cover business and energy. The #ableg beat (and #skpoli before that) was a slice, but I’m incredibly excited for this new challenge. Farewell, press gallery office. I’ll miss you and the marble bathrooms.

One of my favourite family members died. Even if I *could* get home for her funeral I wouldn’t be able to go to it b/c people limits & mandated quarantine. Instead I’m going to drink a glass of wine and eat cheese in her memory. And buy an orchid. Because she loved those.

Danielle Smith’s government lied about reason for Alberta renewables pause, documents show. Good read here from @DrewPAnderson, who FOIPed a bunch of documents about the renewables pause, including briefing notes. thenarwhal.ca/alberta-renewa… #ableg #cdnpoli

Uh, nope. You have to be invited via a motion to testify at a HoC committee meeting, and Smith wasn't. The invite was specifically for Ministers Jean and Neudorf - not the Alberta govt. You can't just sub in, even if you're the premier. theglobeandmail.com/business/artic… #ableg #cdnpoli
On Tuesday I accepted on behalf of the Government of Alberta an invitation to appear appear at the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development. Today they sent a letter rejecting my attendance. That was the fastest response we’ve ever received from the feds -

Yeah ok, Alberta. You’re gorgeous. We get it. Stop showing off 🙄

In which @DonBraid is having absolutely none of it. "There seems to be no situation – not even the impending collapse of the health care system – that will mute this man’s impulse to deflect," he writes. "This is trash politics." calgaryherald.com/opinion/column… #ableg #cdnpoli

I tried to ask Kenney about the RCMP raid of an office belonging to once of his Calgary candidates. I was blocked by staffers and they closed the door. He didn’t even look at me. Not a huge surprise. They told me he wasn’t taking Qs but hey - a girl’s gotta try. #ableg #abvote
