My friend from Iran told me about how some people sell refurbished PS1s in new boxes over there, pretending that it’s a new stock and a "brand new" console. This is hilarious.

I implement Silent Hill fog in my (real) PS1 game. It's exactly the same technique that Silent Hill uses (reverse engineered it). It's pretty incredible, looks great and pushes PS1 to its limits. I'll write a blog post explaining how it works later. :)

People greatly overestimate what PS1 can do because of the recent "PS1-like" indie games some of which might struggle to run even on PS2...

Greatly improved NPC interaction polish (inspired by Majora's Mask). * NPC and cat now look at each other * NPC dude finally has a face * Fixed cat blinking * New font * Rotation and head turn happen in parallel now, not after each other.

The ISO for the game is 2.1 MB still, btw. 🤯 I can’t believe it. You really start doing crazy things in very constrained environments.
