- Thank you to UDC for recognizing my longstanding support of the university today. It has been a privilege to champion the only public university in our nation's capital as it educates and empowers the next generation of leaders, public servants, and changemakers.
- Sexual harassment remains a pervasive problem in workplaces across the country. As the first woman to chair the EEOC, I introduced my bill to create a national commission to combat workplace sexual harassment. Workers shouldn't bear the burden of exposing these failures
- I'll question GAO Director Collins this morning about progress implementing recommendations from a helicopter noise study I got included in the 2024 FAA reauthorization. Helicopter noise can be damaging to health, quality of life, and even the structural integrity of homes.
- Lacking equal treatment ourselves, DC is a natural ally in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality, inclusion, and protections. And we show it! Happy Pride Month, DC.
- Rock Creek Park is one of our nation's great public treasures. I introduced my bill to rename it as "Rock Creek National Park" to appropriately recognize its national significance.
- Closing two federal childcare centers with less than 3 months' notice is a direct, cruel attack on the National Capital Region workforce. I joined my National Capital Region colleagues to insist that USDA Sec. Rollins find a new provider before the scheduled closure in July.The Trump Administration is abruptly closing two USDA childcare centers for federal workers, giving families less than three months to make new arrangements for their kids. If this administration is so “pro-family,” then USDA should immediately reverse this action.
