    Let me be clear before the next time I see you at the Capitol. Are you questioning the morality of all black people or just those within the 74%? Or are you questioning the morality of all children in single parent homes?

    Exhibit 999 why I won’t be entering the Capitol on Monday. Hundreds gathered today outside the Governor’s Mansion (legislators included) to protest and ask for a suspension of the stay-at-home order. Not a single mask in sight, but they will enter the Capitol on Monday.

    Hearing weed bills today in the House committee on Criminal Justice. We are going to have a serious conversation about the legalization of cannabis in Louisiana.

    Isn’t it ironic that the legislators pushing to reopen businesses are saying that they expect (and will encourage) those business owners to practice social distancing and keep employers and the public safe...BUT....they haven’t worn a mask to the Capitol all week

    In honor of Black History Month, I would ask that you keep your rhetoric to a minimum if you haven’t actually shown up to advocate or support those advocating for the interest of black people. Don’t post/tweet in February and push to ban the teachings of history in March.

    My heart aches the family of Congressman-elect @LukeLetlow as #COVID19 has claimed his life at the age of 41. I’ve never met Luke but I reached out via text on Saturday and he quickly responded. Less than 3 days later, he’s gone. God please cover his wife and children.
