🌍 The Russia–Georgia war ended 18 years ago - but its impact hasn’t. Watch how our human security monitors support conflict‑affected communities in Georgia 🤝
🌟 When our vehicles can't go any further, EUMM monitors continue on foot to reach the most remote locations along the Administrative Boundary Lines (ABLs).
🌙 Maintaining a nighttime presence is key to the EUMM’s mandate, providing a comprehensive, round-the-clock understanding of the security situation on the ground.
Every year, our monitors attend the Lomisoba festival near Mleta village, engaging with pilgrims from across 🇬🇪 who gather to celebrate long-standing traditions.
The festival, marked on both sides of the ABL, reflects shared heritage and cultural continuity.
Patrolling 24/7—even in the most challenging mountainous terrain—our teams maintain vital situational awareness.
This constant presence is key to promoting security, stability, and confidence-building across the region. #EUMM
Through regular patrols and monitoring activities, EUMM supports stability and confidence-building along the ABL, helping to reduce tensions and contribute to a safe and secure environment. #EUMM
