A monumentally sad day learning my personal hero Charlie Watts has died. I’m devastated and my soul aches for Shirley, Serafina, the extended Watts family, and of course his band mates. I don’t know what to say really. Charlie Watts Rest In Peace my friend…

So saddened by the passing of Neal Peart. Drumming legend as we all know but a truly kind man. Personally arranged for my son, Jay (then a teenager) to open at a venue in Boston for Rush. Huge for an aspiring drummer! Condolences to his family from our family

Oh man, what a time. I hope everyone's staying safe and following the protocols. Here's a big tip of the hat to all the medical workers of the world putting their lives on the line. They're provin' it every night (and day)!

Congrats to my son, Jay, on being voted Metal Drummer Of The Year on Music by fans on Music Radar. He's the BEST Weinberg drummer!

I’m back on Late Night! Check out this @2M2LN cover of the Misfits’ “Earth A.D.” It was great to play this alongside @dillingerescpln, @jameyjasta, @FrankIero, and Gwarsenio Hall! youtu.be/s4QcbncNwoo

Charlie & Me. The long hair and my glasses (ugh) would suggest late ’80’s! He was not only a hero to me for his art, he was a real mensch!

Can't-and don't want to stop thinking about Charlie tonight. Suave, debonair--lovely man. Back in the late nineties Charlie'd arranged tickets and passes for my family, my wife becky, and our kids, Ali and Jay to see their show at Madison Square Garden(more in next tweet).

and softly said, "Where are you off to now?" It was the classiest your audience is over now I'd ever experienced! It's become our standard pre-show guest goodbye ever since. Charlie--see you on the other side...

Further to last post. The wildest rocker ever imo. Officiated at Little Steven and Maureen Van Zandt's wedding--wow! I played drums for Richard and Chuck Berry's Clinton Inauguration tv show. The rehearsal was the best part. The two of them trading stories within earshot...

Each Stone had their own sort of tented dressing room area and met their guests there. Actually there was a bit of a receiving line to say hi. Ever the gent Charlie was gracious to all. We spoke for about 3 or 4 minutes as there were many guests. Charlie took my hand...
