#TRACE3 RCT: TNK (0.25mg/kg) vs BMT for stroke patients between 4.5 - 24h without access to EVT. TNK improved excellent outcome at 90d (RR 1.4 🙌) with no signif. increase in sICH rates ❌️ TNK seemed beneficial across all subgroups #VoiceOfStroke @StrokeCliTrials @SVINJournal

The #ELAN #RCT suggests that starting #anticoagulation for atrial fibrillation early after an ischemic #stroke may be as safe and better at preventing further events than delaying. The results of #ELAN are presented now at #ESOC2023 & published today in the @NEJM 👇👏

In the #ENRICH #trial, 300 #ICH patients were randomised to minimally invasive surgery vs. medical care <24h after onset Today @ #ESOC2023 the results are presented👇 The 1st #RCT in #ICH to show a positive effect of early minimal invasive surgery on functional outcome @ 6M 👏

#INTERACT3 implemented an intensive care bundle with BP reduction & management of hyperglycaemia, pyrexia & abnormal anticoagulation for #ICH patients in a stepped-wedge cluster #RCT Compared to standard care, the bundle improved functional outcome in #ICH patients #ESOC2023 👇

Unfavourable parenchymal & perfusion imaging criteria, such as low ASPECTS or small penumbras, should not withhold us from giving #EVT to patients with large #ischemic #strokes This IPD meta-analysis of 3 #RCTs shows that #EVT is safe & effective in this population👇 #ESOC2023
