A thread on how i started my investment journey. 1. I was tired of being broke and wanted to do something about it 2. I started reading alot of personal finance books 3. The book that stood for me was @WarrenIngram "How to make your first million"

From "financially struggling" to "financially stable" to "financially free" is the goal
from “girlfriend” to “fiancée” to “wife” is the goal.

During lunch, we were complaining about the cost of private school education and how impossible it is to afford them as an employee, was told private school fees was never meant to come from a salary, it was meant to come from a trust fund set up by grandparents 😭😭
How did you find out that your friend is from a rich family?

What has been your biggest money mistake and how did you overcome it? Me buying a property that I could not afford over a 30 year period (increasing the term so I could qualify) , qualifying for something does not mean being able to afford it, ended up selling the property.

Not being paid well, it impacts everything, access to education, health care, quality of life, retirement and so much more.
What is something that ruins people's lives that most people don't realize until it's too late?

Sold my investment property during covid, I now invest in property via Exchange Traded Funds in my Tax Free Investment account, I receive my dividend income tax free every quarter. This is what peace looks like 😆 😂 .

How I adjusted How to make your first million by Warren Ingram to my own personal financial goals. Iinvest minimum R3k per month, 50% of any extra money received from bonus, side hustle, stolvels etc. 3 years later this is what I have managed to achieve #Road2FinancialFreedom
If you are able to invest R5k per month for 9 years & your investments grow by 13% per year, you will have R1m after 9 years. 2nd million will take only 4 years. 3rd million will take 3 years this is because of compound growth- How to make your first million by Warren Ingram

24 months of building my share portfolio💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾.its been tough but i have made a commitment,so every month i commit to it. Yes its doable on a monthly salary,it takes consistency,it takes guts and it takes saying no to alot of things, but the goal is financial freedom.

Paying R300 extra into my car repayments has resulted in me paying my car off 5 months earlier than scheduled. At the end of December car will be fully paid up. Planning for 2020 #FinancialHealth2020
