A group of EGFR+ lung cancer patients who are resistant to targeted treatment. Sharing support & research news, accelerating research, improving outcomes. #lcsm
Today we mourn the loss of our Ivy Elkins, a co-founder of the EGFR Resisters and formidable lung cancer advocate. She mill be missed! Condolences to her family and loved ones.
Join us to celebrate the discovery of the EGFR+ mutation that has revolutionised the treatment of EGFR+ lung cancer, giving us improved outcomes and hope. Today we also remember the ones that we have lost from our EGFR Resisters community.
Because of EGFR research, Allen Lee was able to get married and see the birth of his daughter, Mia. We need more research and progress for him to be able to raise her. #LCAM#lungcancer
March 8 is International Women’s Day. Thank you to all of the wonderful women that work to improve the lives of patients with lung cancer! This photo only represents a very small portion of the number of women pioneering in this field! We appreciate you all. 💜

Lung cancer in patients who never smoked -an emerging disease
“The global incidence of lung cancer decreasing in parallel w/ declining smoking rates in developed countries- the incidence of LC in individuals who have never smoked is stable or increasing”
💔 to share that Dann Wonser has passed after living 19 years with stage 4 egfr lung cancer. Dann was a prolific advocate & an inspiration to many in the community. He wrote a book (Second Wind: Thriving with Lung Cancer) & created videos to help others cope with this disease.
‼️RESOURCE ALERT‼️
I have created a database of resources/information to help patients/caregivers etc navigate the EGFR LC space.
It is a work in progress but here is the link: drive.google.com/drive/folders/…
Save the link as I update this daily! Thank you!!
Tagrisso failed after only 9 months for Filipe, Stage 4 #egfr#lungcancer patient and advocate. At 37, he shares his experience w/this disease and the importance of advocacy w/ @EuropeanLung. He exemplifies the need for better 2nd and 3rd line treatments.

A community member created this art to remind us that #anyonewithlungs can get #lungcancer. We need to change the way we talk about it. We need to recognize that its a complex disease with many risk factors. We need to create a more supportive environment for patients & families
