I encounter a lot of people and at present some in sad situations This week I had a elderly man who wanted to buy a single tea bag and another who was 25p short for the minimum electric top up Both were sorted as I was able to help but this is a real crisis #costoflivingNI

My grandfather John Diamond a veteran of the First World War He was honourably discharged due to losing part of his foot and toes on his other foot to frostbite He was a very quiet man who never talked about the war Today I remember him with pride and love.

There’s just something about Liam Neeson’s facial expression in this shot from last nights #DerryGirls that says a lot about his acting abilities No words we’re needed what was it all for the thoughts at that time I’m really proud to say he’s a Ballymena man ….

Anybody remember the good old days when you’re mother or father lit the fire this way Many a time the newspaper caught fire they’d be arrested for endangering their children’s life’s nowadays But they loved you and wanted to keep you warm Not a case of turning on the heating 🤔😊

Due to ongoing health problems I’m going to put my business including building up for sale It’s sad to make this decision but since March I have had to step back from working my usual hours I’ve had 45 great years here on Broughshane Street but all things come to a end. Eugene

I see the health minister @RobinSwannMoH is being criticised for being realistic and saying they’ll be no foreign holidays this year Are we not better with someone giving a truthful answer and being straight with people then one leading people on 🤔

I just had a young man spend £1.80 on a magazine and as I went to give him his change of £8.20 he said ‘Treat one of your elderly customers to something they want today with that change’ A lovely gesture and it will be done a few wee treats 😊
