    #WorldTourismDay2019. 🌍 When there are no child protection policies in place, children are at increased risk of sexual exploitation. In this case, lodge staff accepted bribes in exchange for secrecy. They also provided pornography and liquor. ▶️⁠ ecpat.org/wtd19 ◀️

    Identifying the child is the first step to identifying & catching the offender. But in the majority of cases, victims remain anonymous. If more police forces & governments worked together to end this crime, we would find criminals & save more children. ecpat.org/icare

    In a sample of a million images & videos of child sexual abuse, 56% of the children were prepubescent. Younger children were more likely to suffer more severe abuse, including torture, violent rape, or sadism. Think about that. ecpat.org/icare

    #ChildSexualAbuse material is being shared more and more through rings and a new ‘#crowdsourcing’ trend, with groups of perpetrators working in organised rings. 6 members who exploited over 48 victims as young as 11 across #USA, have been sentenced.

    No such thing as 'child porn', @BostonGlobe. Terms such as 'child pornography' do not accurately describe the severity of the crime of child sexual abuse. It's not pornography, it's child sexual abuse material. #WordsMatter
