As a part of a joint exercise between the IAF & Indian Army, a high altitude Combat Free Fall mission was carried out by commandos of Special Forces & Garuds from IAF C-130J ac in the Eastern sector. Yet another successful operational milestone achieved by Indian Armed Forces.

#FlyingColoursFriday 16 Dec 22. Airforce Station Hasimara @EAC_IAF received the last of the 36 Rafale aircraft with a traditional Water Canon salute. The aircraft was flown in from France & marks the completion of delivery of the 4.5 generation fighter aircraft to the IAF.

The #IAF commenced its humanitarian aid & disaster relief operations from AFS Bagdogra for the flood victims of Sikkim on the Air Force Day. Garud commandos, Commn eqpt, fuel, medicines, search & rescue eqpt are being carried by the Chinook & MI 17 V5 heading to the State. 1/2

As part of Ex Poorvi Akash of EAC IAF, the indigenous LCH Prachand today landed at a high elevation ALG on one of its first such deployments, carrying out joint training with ground forces, alongside a variety of other combat platforms and systems participating in the exercise.

Air Marshal SP Dharkar, AOC-in-C EAC visited AF Station Kalaikunda on 17-18 Apr 23. He reviewed ongoing #ExCopeIndia between US Air Force and Indian Air Force. He also flew a training mission in a USAF F-15 E Strike Eagle.

The #IAF Garud Commandos based at AF Stn Hasimara, in a well coordinated mission on 13 Jul rescued 70 locals including six children stranded due to flash floods.The #Bravehearts helped cross the villagers to safety. The #EAC assets were pressed into action within a short notice.

The IAF, on 09 Oct 23 resumed its relief operations for the flood victims of Sikkim from AF Stn Bagdogra #EAC. Earlier in the day, one Chinook Helicopter carrying NDRF personnel, Search & Rescue equipment, fuel, medicine and critical supplies of the Indian Army reached Sikkim.1/3

#EAC_IAF provided a major boost to BRO & GREF on 15 Feb by inducting heavy machinery in very inaccessible terrain in #Arunachal Pradesh. IAF Chinooks, flown by specially cleared crew, have thus contributed significantly to augment road connectivity and infrastructure in the NE.

AF Stn Tezpur had the proud privilege of hosting Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Hon'ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu on 08 Apr 23. On arrival at the base, the President was received by Air Mshl SP Dharkar AOC-in-C EAC.

In a quick medevac response, on 07Nov 23 one ALH MK III heptr from Af Stn Tezpur evacuated a critically ill patient from Vijaynagar ALG suffering from hematemesis/melena.Due to lack of medical facilities and connectivity at Vijaynagar the medevac by heptr proved to be lifesaving.
