    Mutual assistance has arrived! About 30 trucks from Philadelphia and the state of Indiana just pulled into our Woods Run campus. Looking forward to having more arrive tomorrow. We’re grateful to our peers and partners for their support in restoring our customers!

    The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (@DCNRnews) and Duquesne Light Company (DLC) have heard the people of Pittsburgh and agreed the existing “Tree of Lights” at Point State Park will return to its original location in 2021. Read more: prez.ly/L25b.

    Storm update by the numbers: • Approx. 28,000 w/o power. 20,000+ restored today. • Reports of 200+ wires & 50+ poles down across the area. • DLC has 200+ staff working 16-hour shifts. High wind continues to be a challenge for crews to safely work. Patience is appreciated!

    Storm update (4/4): We understand how difficult and frustrating it is to be without power, especially for an extended period of time. This is an “all hands on deck” effort for the company, and we will continue to work around the clock until everyone is restored.

    Crews are restoring power to customers where possible, but continued wind gusts of 40+ mph are preventing buckets from going in the air. Crew safety is a top priority and damage assessment is ongoing. We appreciate your patience.

    Crews are working 16-hour shifts & are back in the air restoring power, when safe. Approx. 50,000 are w/o power. This is a significant weather event that isn't over yet. Customers are encouraged to make alternate plans as restoration efforts may take multiple days.

    We have successfully restored power to 98% of customers impacted by the severe weather on April 29. With help from 600 additional crew members, we expect restoration by Tuesday, May 6 at 11 p.m., though many will be restored sooner. Full update here: bit.ly/3Z6oFHx.
