I keep seeing all these segments on ESPN talking down the NIU loss as if it was some type of miracle. Everyone in the stadium knew who the better team was that day; it wasnโt a fluke! Theyโre not the first and definitely will not be the last big name in CFB to take an LNIU doesnโt get the proper credit when people reference that Notre Dame game. People act like Notre Dame lost to a 1-11 team or something. NIU was 8-5 and matched up very well with their assertiveness in the trenches. Also eliminated NDโs usual turnover battle advantage.
