I appreciate all that @MeleeStatsPod and TOs do everywhere to promote melee. That being said, rankings are DEPRECIATED when controllers are unregulated and fundamentally change the way we play the game. Competitive integrity is essential for the progression of our tournaments.

- I most likely won't be posting my opinions on here anymore. In a community, my thoughts shouldn't be the only ones we value. I wish for everyone to be open to discussion and ideas. And for what its worth, I am a millennial not a boomer.
- Replying to @tafokints and @MeleeStatsPodThe only thing I'm doing it for is for the game itself. Melee can be played in any way you want to, but its my belief that it should be played in a way where execution and technicality should be on an even level, which I believe isn't going on currently.
- Dq'ing against players I always thought as disrespectful for the TOs and those who have contributed to tournaments. I've had my opinions for controllers for 3-4 years now, and I have still entered even knowing my opponents have had objective advantages.
- My daughter was born on the same day Melee was released in Japan. You know....just sayin'.
- Replying to @Ghillie_Guide and @MeleeStatsPodI think the wobbling decision was actually a significant moment in melee history. Showing that a TO can directly influence the ruleset even with opposing opinions on it. There's no reason why TOs couldn't do it with controllers as well.
- Street Fighter 3rd Strike(1999) at EVO this year has 1103 entrants, which is the largest its ever seen. Compare that with Melee(2001), with the largest amount of entrants being 2372 at EVO2016. You have to wonder how many Melee would get if it was at EVO today.
- Replying to @Drephen and @MeleeStatsPodI will say after losing hundreds if not thousands of dollars, my reputation, and my own feelings of being cheated, my motivation to enter tournaments is at an all time low. But at least I can say I know for sure what its like to compete at a disadvantage.
- I feel like I've been getting over seeded at tournaments recently. Trying to fill expectations affects me mentally and I still need to learn more how to manage that. Regardless of my seeding, I'm always thankful to be able to compete.
- Very grateful for @PGHSmash for hosting FightPitt 10 and everyone that contributed to it. Seeing people from different eras of my melee life gives me feelings of thankfulness and cherishment. Long-standing traditions are invaluable for me and everyone in our community.
- Replying to @jakedirado and @SparkmeleeI feel Spark's love with every spotdodge I do.
- Replying to @TylerClibbon and @MeleeStatsPodThis is speculation but I think a big factor is that to keep up with the controller metagame a lot of top players are using notches, zjump, and other mods. They have got used to playing this way and/or have won matches this way and don't want to change.
- Replying to @maybssbmMelee gets heated sometimes, and I've been guilty of getting too emotional. But we do share love of the same game. Looking forward to growing together through melee.
