- I have a friend who sends out a life-update email to a bunch of people maybe twice a year. She just sort of free associates about the minutiae of her life at that moment (she lives on a sailboat and a LOT is boat repair) but it's really such a pleasant email to receive. 1/2

- Replying to @DreamSong77I used to have a job as a dropout prevention coordinator on a grant-funded project working with high school students and the thing about them is they make rational decisions. All their circumstances told them there was no future so the rational decision is to live for the moment.
