I am the official live mascot for @DrakeUniversity. I am the successor to Griff I, named after John L. Griffith, who organized the first @DrakeRelays in 1910.

- Dear friends, I have some sad news to share with you. I’m going to need some extra hugs from you in the coming days. I said goodbye to my very best friend, the OG, today. We held him as he died, falling asleep to the words “I love you,” “I’m so proud of you,” and
- BIG NEWS! This is my paw-selected successor, Griff II! As you know, I am retiring June 30. Then, THIS guy will take over as your live mascot! He is officially called Griff II, but at home we call him “George” after George Carpenter, the first president of Drake University.
