TDSB is facing real challenges like declining enrollment & aging infrastructure. But this week, our board chose to spend ~$180k to rename three schools. I voted against the motion and will always put student achievement first.

I anticipated events like this will happen at our schools, therefore I moved the motion at TDSB to reinforce no geopolitics in our schools, unfortunately, I was defeated twice in the last 6 months, and now I will try the 3rd time by minority report on the regular board meeting on

I am deeply disappointed by yesterday’s events. Compromising the security and safety of students is unacceptable. I expect TDSB to conduct a thorough review of the situation and ensure accountability with parents and students to prevent future incidents.

Tonight, the TDSB Planning and Priorities Committee voted to receive the Affirming Jewish Identities and Addressing Antisemitism staff report. Victory for common sense and decency. Big change from the propaganda and invective we had to sit through last night.

I am very concerned about the amount of time we spend discussing identity politics at the TDSB. There are so many important issues that need to be addressed that get very little discussion. Last night, I needed to spend board time clarifying if Asian students had the “genes”
