- I’m sick of this “thoughts and prayers” bullshit while Australians are dying and communities devastated. These meaningless platitudes from politicians who deny global warming are nauseating.
- We will be told “ the voters never get it wrong “ and “we can work with any President”. I beg to differ. Electing a President with Trump’s record is appalling, beyond belief and not in Australia’s national interests. We have sacrificed our independence to a dysfunctional nation!
- Just finished watching the Trump / Zelensky meeting in the White House. Trump is a disgusting, disgraceful and incompetent President. If this is our main security partner we are in trouble. How can we trust this self obsessed, egotistical unstable authoritarian?
- What a terrible referendum result. I thought Australians would have seen through the lies, division and politicking of the LNP, Murdoch press and various media commentators. I was wrong. The nation is the poorer for the rejection of the offer from indigenous Australians.
- As a former politician I have witnessed the overt influence of Israeli governments on Australian politicians. Trips to Israel, a sophisticated and unrelenting programme to “educate” politicians has led to a muted response to years of institutional repression of Palestinians.
- Morrison claims Labor “hoping for the worst”. Actually we are witnessing “the worst”. The worst PM. The worst roll out. The worst quarantine. What a wanker!
- I am an atheist and I don’t get the need for a religious discrimination bill. Religion has a disproportionate, unhealthy influence in Australian politics. As a senator I witnessed churches use their parliamentary acolytes to oppose progressive change and defend the indefensible.
- Forget all the rhetoric and assertions of loving the people of NSW from @GladysB She is under investigation for corrupt conduct, breaching public trust and dishonesty over a 6 year period.
- I agree. I also want answers to Aged care failures, Sports and grants rorts, Robodebt, the AWU raid, bush fire failures, no tender contracts to former Liberal staffers, Stuart Robert’s Rolexes and internet usage, and Angus Taylor’s Watergate and Grassgate.
- The Murdoch empire who illegally hacked a murdered schoolgirl’s phone, bribed police and disgraced journalism has again cut its paid character assassins loose to attack Labor and protect Morrison. This disgusting organisation and its rags are a blight on decency and democracy!
- Ignore corruption,or you’ll be dobbed in to the PM and Australia will be hurt. Trump is disgusting, unfit for high office and bereft of morality. Well done John Lyons, too many US reporters and politicians are intimidated and silenced by Trump’s aggression
- This morning I was publicly accused of antisemitism by a former politician, political adviser and now lobbyist. It is unacceptable, defamatory and untrue. I refuse to be intimidated.
