- Maps like the one below were posted at the beginning of February and continued to be posted as models went bonkers with snow and cold. So far Harrisburg has a grand total of 3.3” for February. Will any lessons be ever learned?

- A peeve of mine and a physics reminder that was taught at @psumeteo- rain DOES NOT wash away snow. Rain DOES NOT melt snow. *Warm air* melts snow. Warm air arrives with the rain. We had to perform a calculation to prove this in our thermodynamics course. Thank you for your time!

- I mentioned this tonight, but the blizzard of 1996 is a big reason why I wanted to be a meteorologist. My parents dug through the archives and found some great pictures (ft @GoodOlSnoopy). The drifts were enormous!! I grew up in Colonial Park watching @abc27News & Chuck Rhodes 😀
