- Replying to @Sturgeons_LawI hate to be the guy, but the apostrophe is appropriate in this case. For clarity, the writer may include an apostrophe. The alternative is "Walzs" which looks like it could be a separate Polish last name.

- If you think of the things a middle class person with 2 kids would reasonably want: decent house, a modest vacation each year, money for the summer camp/kids karate/hockey/dancing/or whatever, two reliable cars, ok retirement, and so on, $100k a year is not enough.
