- Interesting how Ottawa is a ghost town because nobody can make it to work through the snow in their AWD SUVs but every Tim Hortons, Starbucks and Second Cup employee seems to be there on duty with a smile.
- Highly unusual move by a former US president to endorse anyone in a Canadian election. Can't recall a precedent for this.I was proud to work with Justin Trudeau as President. He's a hard-working, effective leader who takes on big issues like climate change. The world needs his progressive leadership now, and I hope our neighbors to the north support him for another term.
- This enhanced Ontario lockdown is not rooted in transmission risk. Playgrounds? Golf courses? Not where the spread is happening. This is about Ford political damage control optics after a failed year of inept pandemic control measures.
- EXACTLY! Matt Gurney: Trudeau has perfected the art of not answering questions — and our allies have noticed - National Post
- Trudeau seems to declare tonight's Emergencies Act vote to be a confidence vote. Boxes in the NDP to support the government or face an election.
- Selling out the universal carbon tax to save himself in the polls shows how incredibly toxic the Trudeau brand has become in Atlantic Canada.
- Incredible that @JustinTrudeau had barely a coherent sentence on anything from the G7 today on any national newscasts. He is the most invisible “dean” of the group I’ve ever seen.
- Ok, so it wasn't exactly a thriller, but it's clear from their first QP showdown that @PierrePoilievre is the best opposition attack dog @JustinTrudeau has faced since becoming PM. No notes. Zingers. Concise points. Of course, Trudeau never actually answered his questions.
- If @JustinTrudeau’s speech claims this one or two seat shift in his caucus to be a victory worth a $600 million campaign, my TV screen will have a laptop sticking out of it.
- Personal news: Excited to announce that after 9 years, my last show as host of @CTV_PowerPlay will be Dec. 20. Reasons? More writing, less scripting; More travelling, less commuting. More Florida, less snow. It's been a privilege to do this job. #cdnpoli.
- Is Justin Trudeau headed for defeat? - Toronto Star
- At the halfway point of the French language debate, @JustinTrudeau is galloping three lengths ahead and a limping @erinotoole fading in fourth. The opposition needed to draw blood on the Liberal leader. So far, not even a bruise.
- No idea how Trudeau can still pledge to help get the endangered interpreters who helped our troops out of Afghanistan when the embassy has closed and the last plane has departed Kabul. Let's face it - they've been abandoned.
