That GP was mocked by a man, who patronised her by calling her “love”, while accusing her of being work shy. The humiliating comment was seemingly supported by our prime minister.

You qualify as a doctor. You find out that while you've been studying to be a doctor, the NHS wages have significantly stagnated. You look at adverts in English-speaking countries and work out that the NHS provides the lowest income of them all. You leave the NHS. The End

There is somebody out there, in the UK, who worked out that quitting their job as a doctor in order to work as a dog walker at £15/hr made financial sense. We are not just losing doctors to other healthcare employers, folks.

Dear Mr Barclay, Please can you explain the phrase “come to the negotiating table”? The BMA understands this as being physically present at a table, in a room, at a specific date and time, to negotiate. Which should have happened yesterday, when you didn’t turn up.

As it turns out, the NHS can afford to pay some staff well. But not doctors. You will continue to be devalued unless we stand up and demand pay restoration. Vote YES in the ballot today.

Why does a five day strike, spanning a weekend, get allegedly blamed for someone continuing to wait for surgery, having already waited three whole years? The public is influenced by biased reports, in my opinion, which is unfair to all. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

I am a BMA rep. I am employed to work in Morriston Hospital, Swansea, as a consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon. I am open to all doctors, regardless of BMA membership, to DM me or contact as they wish regarding any workplace issues. Actions speak louder than words. I act.
