Since 2019, Texas has collected 459.6 billion dollars in property taxes, some of that likely in excess. Roughly 50% of property taxes come from school taxes. Texas is the 5th highest State on property tax rates. We were promised that would go away...has it?

He's right. The bill Abbott recently signed does nothing about Sharia (it's already banned as a system in the Texas legal system) and it does nothing to prevent "EPIC City" or any other community like it. It relies on tips after it's already established... HB 45 is a law

So what happens in a year after the homestead exemption increases by a whopping $40,000? The CAD board will magically decide your home value increases to make up for any offset. Without intelligent reforms, it's just kicking the can down the road.
