- This morning it was still dark when my husband left for the ER. He said “I never thought I’d have a job where people thank me for my service and my son cries every night worrying I will die.” #GetMePPE
- Gronk had to have 1 liter of blood drained from his quad after Super Bowl 53. He’s in tears describing how he was crying in bed and couldn’t sleep because of pain...the night that he won a Super Bowl.
- As I've said before, I just don't think Brady has gotten nearly enough praise for playing through this. What he did is remarkable. I generally don't like the whole "toughness" debate, this is about his ability to focus and perform under any kind of adverse condition.Tom Brady's hand. Nasty stuff
- My husband just told me that, while he was working in an ER full of COVID last night, he looked up for a second at a tv and saw college football stands full of maskless fans hugging and shouting. I don’t know how he does it. This isn’t sustainable.
- Bunch of Patriots, Texans players just paused on the field to clap for row of honor military. Just in case that doesn't make front page news
- PS I'd say the hamstring looks pretty ok here 😉Thursday #Patriots practice and we've got @CameronNewton doing his thing during stretch. I love how he gets rookie J.J. Taylor involved! Not sure the running back was feelin' it as much as Cam. 🤣 @NBC10Boston
00:00 - Gronk got a warm welcome home from his neighborhood kids. Warning: your heart may explode.
- Wonderful news for David Andrews and his family. Once an athlete is stabilized and a good level of anticoagulation (blood thinning) is achieved with IV meds, patients can be transitioned to oral (or sometime injectable) meds and sent home with outpatient follow-up. Good sign.#Patriots center David Andrews has been released from the hospital, according to a league source. He was treated for a blood clot in his lung as @jeffphowe was the first to report.
- He got hit in the head twice. He got a tinted visor. He got smelling salts. And he was allowed to finish the game. These are missed opportunities to call a symptom a symptom on Thursday, not Friday. No blame or shame, we just have to learn and do better.
00:00TJ Watt is in concussion protocol, per Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten. He came in yesterday morning experiencing symptoms. Watt must be cleared by the independent neurologist before he can return to play. Steelers play next at Colts a week from today. - She’s lacing up her sneaks and leaving cancer in the dust. It’s been a long year and a half but my Mom is finally DONE. #survivor
- This is so embarrassing for Boston. You opened the season celebrating 100 local healthcare workers but didn't walk the walk. #RedSoxXander Bogaerts tested positive for COVID.
