This was Mark McMorris 11 months ago. He’s a bronze medallist at the #Olympics today. Remarkable.

🇨🇦 Josh Liendo is the first Black Canadian to win an Olympic swimming medal. He told me growing up he had nobody to really look up to — because nobody looked like him. Game changer. History maker. Silver medal at the Olympics.

One of the rare times I’m glad my bags are taking a while to arrive on the carousel. Just noticed the water fountain at the Ottawa Airport. The water is spelling out: Go Blue Jays Go followed by a Canadian 🇨🇦 flag. So cool.

This is Paralympic swimming in Paris. Sold out La Defense Arena. And these fans have roared for every swimmer. It changes hearts and minds. I’m just so impressed by how this country has supported the Games.

It’s been a rough couple of days for Canada. Especially with the fires in Jasper. Tonight 🇨🇦 Céline Dion made us proud. And reminded us of resilience and bravery and so many values we hold as Canadians.

BLIND HOCKEY SERIES Players must have only 10 per cent vision or less, and goalies must be completely blind. The puck is larger and made of metal. It has ball bearings in it so it rattles and players can locate it. Here’s some of the action. @hockeynight @CDNBlindHockey

BREAKING There was a protest launched against Canada in the men’s 4x100m — working on finding out who protested. I’ve just learned it’s been declined. Canada remains the Olympic champions.
