1/ There seems to be a big uptick in tweet activity lately about how easy/great it is to use an SBA loan to acquire a SMB and just start living on easy street. I've acquired many SMB's, and just recently (Jan.) did an acquisition with an SBA 7A loan....

This was literally what everyone did up until 2020. Let's not act like it is totally impossible to function. Now, will people choose not to do it? Certainly!

What are the chances that there is some person in the United States with 10 full time remote jobs, and 5 offshore employees on their own payroll doing all the work for them? Has to be 100%, right?

I just picked up this killer Bronco for $5k at an estate sale this morning. What do you guys think?

Most 25 year olds (including me at that age) don’t comprehend what 10 years of hard work, calculated risks, personal frugality and discipline can do for their future self. 10 years can drastically change your life’s trajectory. Good or bad.

Yesterday at 4pm I closed on a storage deal with a rent roll of $3k per month. I paid $62k for it. This morning, the rent roll is $41k per month, and that same property just appraised for $6.1 million. Probably the quickest value I’ve ever created.

At age 36, if I’ve figured out one thing it is this. I was CEO of a growing company for 7 years. We grew 20x. It was great but....I left the house at 6am and got home at 6:30pm with nothing left to give. So I just walked away...
Ever made a lot of money on a deal, etc after you’ve already been pretty well off for a few years? It’s wild how those closest to you (your wife, kids, family members) don’t really care. She’s thinking about a date night. They want to go outside. When are you going to visit?

I spend roughly 50-60% of my working hours doing small business due diligence projects (Q of E). Performing a proof of cash is by far the most important piece of this process. But why? I'll tell you...

No, my wife did. I typically worked until 6. I’m just saying, before Covid, most people worked in the office and figured it out.

Actually, a private jet is going to land at an airport closer to final destination (95% of the time). Agree on other items.

There is a private flight scheduled from Lincoln, NE to Stillwater, OK today. Return trip about 4 hours later. Could Oklahoma State be going after Dana Holgerson for round 2? #okstate

I’m finally getting close to the proper balance, and it feels good. I’ve got no courses to sell. I don’t care how many Twitter followers I have. I just wake up and do my thing. And I’m happy.

My Christmas gift to you is this advice: Life gets infinitely better when you learn that you should almost never try to convince another adult that they are wrong and you are right. Also, learn to say “Hmmm, that’s interesting”.

Hot Take: The world would be better off if Facebook was never even invented. The amount of social harm it has caused is immeasurable.
