On this day in 1946 ten of the Nuremberg Trial defendants were executed by hanging. Hermann Goering, of course, cheekily beat the hangman’s noose the night before. The gallows were deliberately not placed together properly to cause maximum pain and every man suffered horribly.

Basically none of the games to date have crafted a gameplay loop where a player can plausibly undergo the kind of realistic ups and down historical countries would go through. It's basically all snowballs, with relatively few exceptions
