Our journey, of @marrow_med and DailyRounds. Long slog hours, a core team that stood against the wind, some luck, some tears, a lot of fun, drama (including a few court room ones). It was never easy - and was not meant to easy anyway. As we say if not us, then who. Glad to be
For the edtech biggies, who are bleeding heavily and counting on their runway, @DeepuSebin’s story of DailyRounds to Marrow has the right medicine. Will they listen? By @itsmerajiv_07 forbesindia.com/article/take-o…

Our country produces thousands of brilliant Doctors. 100s of Doctor take the IAS route already. Why not have a dedicated #IndianMedicalServices . Let evidence and scientific thought take lead. It's easier to train a Doctor management than train a Manager the practice of Medicine.

A 31 year old resident Doctor was raped and killed few days back (2024)..... An intern Doctor was stabbed to death in (2023) in Kerala........ Violence against Doctors have reached an unbelievable peak. And no surprise, the most vulnerable (young female Doctors in the frontline)

Unbelievable that a generation of Doctors are kept out of practice, learning, and patient care when the country needs them MOST. But finally good to see the nation turning attention to #Doctorsstrike. Sad it needed bloodshed & a fight in the street. Conduct #neetpg2021counselling

In next few years India will have oversupply of Doctors (if we take WHO norms). Adding new MBBS seats should be freeze and all efforts should go to adding MD/MS seats. Oversupply of Doctors has proved to lead unnecessary treatment and procedures.

When a Doctor has to fear for her life, don't expect her fight for your loved ones life. Situation is dire. Anymore violence against Doctors could have long lasting consequences.

Kids use all shortcuts. Marrow/prep/btr/short videos /osmosis/chatGPT/Gemini (AI will be big)/uptodate. Dn't bother reading journals - jump into @EvidenceOpen & read only if needed. Big books with small fonts are a pain and old. Be efficient and if you have time left - fight
Would you trust a doctor who never read a single medical book and only watched videos from NEET-PG coaching apps?

I miss being a practicing Doctor. I missed being a clinician and taking care. It's one of the truest things I have done. In 2024, I hope to get back.

    1. Reduce and reallocated MBBS seats. (In a 10-year timeframe we produce way too many Doctors than needed) / 2. PG seats = MBBS seats (also add Family Med seats) / 3. Get rid of the bond system. If not unhappy and unhealthy competition & more unfortunate incidents.

1/5 There is a drug that could disrupt the entire weight loss, calorie tracking, fitness apps, and the industry. It's tirzepatide - a GIP-analogue. First net positive outcome weight loss drug. People are using it (or its previous Semaglutide) and seeing great results already...

Calling bullshit. There is increasing saturation.... Either look at the data or ask a fellow Doctor who has tried to get a Job in a city. Why do you peddle wrong information? Things are not very bad yet, but if the 75K more seats announced on Aug 15 gets added, we are looking @
There is no saturation of any field in medicine, anywhere in India. In fact, there is a shortage of good Doctors and healthcare in many places. This 'saturation' is spread by job-seekers & those who are probably not good at their work and unable to get desired results in their
