Hearing disturbing reports that female students above the sixth grade will not be invited back to school by the authorities, If true, what could possibly be the reason?

Who attacks newborn babies and new mothers? Who does this? The most innocent of innocents, a baby! Why? Cruelty has no followers from the humanity.
UNAMA expresses shock and revulsion at today’s terrorist attacks at a #Kabul maternity hospital and a funeral in #Nangarhar, causing significant civilian casualties. UN in #Afghanistan calls for those responsible to face justice and offers condolences to victims and families.

Let’s all support the return of Afghan young female and male students to the universities across Afghanistan. Supporters can consider a range of scholarship programs and ongoing support to female and male professors.
Tomorrow can be the start of something truly important for Afghanistan. UN welcomes the announcement that public universities will begin re-opening 2 February to all female and male students. So crucial that every young person has equal access to education.

Great move forward by US government, particularly US treasury and OFAC, with new General Licenses and guidance that allow expanded humanitarian support to afghan people. UN and humanitarian partners will now be able to assist those in need with wider scope/coverage. Well done!

Israel has the right to protect the integrity of its borders. Tunnels into Israeli territory are unacceptable. They undermine efforts to create a stable and secure border and pose a real security risk.

We condemn the appalling murder yesterday of Ari Fuld, an American-Israeli citizen and a father of four. Canada condemns all such violence and terror, which can never be justified.

Relieved to hear @AmrullahSaleh2 survived today’s deplorable attack in #Kabul #Afghanistan and wish him all the best for a speedy recovery. Shocked by initial high number of civilian casualties, mainly bystanders. Perpetrators must face justice.
