- DeKalb HS continues to ask for thoughts & prayers for DHS Junior, Lucas Oberkiser, who remains in critical condition from a car accident.
- The DeKalb Central Community is with heavy hearts, with the passing of DeKalb High School student & football player, Lucas Oberkiser.

- Congrats to Kendyl Smith received a silver medal for her photography piece titled "1985". Kendyl has been recognized as one of the most creative artists in the nation! Only 1% of those works are recognized at the national level including 41 from our region!
- SNOW DAY (Wed) 2.17.21 I am declaring a good ‘ole fashion snow day due to recent winter weather. Students may choose to work on assignments from earlier this week or relax and maybe even go outside and play in the snow. Laugh, have fun, be safe, and just be a kid. #WeAreDeKalb
