Means more to me than anything I've done on the field. You never know what people are going though. Please retweet and share with the hopes that this helps others. 👊🏼💯 mlb.com/orioles/news/f… #MentalHealth #RisingTide
In times of uncertainty, it’s important to focus on maintaining emotions and anxieties. Mental Skills Coordinator Kathryn Rowe and Development Coach Tim DeJohn discuss how they’ve used meditation and mindfulness to help players during the pandemic: atmlb.com/3e1hbLP

Example of infield communication in last night's game: 2B to 1B: I'm shaded middle, so take what you can in the 4 hole. 1B to 2B: Alright got you. 1B to P: I go the 4 hole so make sure to get over on a groundball. Like in any relationship, communication is 🔑 #FridayFielders

I personally disagree with that lacrosse stick bunting drill everyone has been talking about. I get the concept but you can drop the head of the stick and still catch the ball. Can't do that with a bat. Best way to learn how to bunt is to bunt.

10 years ago, I was coaching a 13/14 year old town league all star team in which I was required to wear a polo and khaki shorts. Tomorrow I am coaching for the University of Memphis against Ole Miss. Feel blessed, lucky, and honored. PEOPLE, PLEASE ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR PASSION.

Yesterday was one of the best days of my career. Had the privilege to work with this kid for the past 2+ years and being there for his Big League debut was special. Thank you to the @orioles for allowing me to attend. Gunny I’m beyond proud and I love you kid!!! @G_Henderson2

Thinking of creating a @zoom_us video chat sometime later this week or early next week. Discuss infield play, answer questions, practice design, bounce ideas, etc. If you would be interested, like or retweet and we can schedule a time and date!!! #Infield #Infielders

Very disappointed on the @NCAACWS ruling against a 3rd paid assistant. I know many in that volley role that put in countless hours, in a variety of different roles, all while LOSING $ each month & continue to do so for the love of the game & the players. I just don't understand.

Holding runners at 2nd: 1. Only 1 player holds runner on 2. Keep quiet & under control 3. In order to effectively hold the runner, you must be closer to the bag than runner. (If runner is important) 4. Don't run in & out, wasted energy. START at desired distance. #FridayFielders

Your 60 time, arm velocity, exit velocity etc. doesn't always mean you are a good/bad player. I wish more kids would worry about just being a better baseball player and HOW to play the game instead of worrying more about HOW to get recruited.

Example of my perfect fielding position. Legs wide, back flat, butt HIGH to ensure weight is in balls of feet, body square to home plate, hands & glove out in front at “handshake” distance, palm of glove facing 2 o’clock (not 12 o’clock), head down seeing it in. #FridayFielders

Visual aids/cues. “Field it out front” is a very grey cue. The red tape represents “handshake” distance and is specific, effective, & measurable. Spray paint can be used on the grass. @ThatGuy__Kai likes to use the point of where the grass meets the dirt. And...kick game is 🔥
