Not even 12 hours post heart transplant and he is standing! We are all amazed at his progress! Keep it going! ❤️🩹🙏🏼💪🏼
00:00- Look who’s awake and is feeling great! Breathing tube came out early this morning and he started cracking jokes and singing “I left my heart in San Fran-Nashville”. 🤣 We are all amazed at Scot’s recovery so far! ❤️🩹🙏🏼
- We have a walker! He’s continuing to shock us all with his strength. 🥹❤️🩹💪🏼

00:00 - Scot has a new heart! Surgery went well and I’ve been told the heart is big, powerful and is a perfect fit! Now on to the crucial part of recovery. Thank you to everyone for the continued prayers and support, but most of all, deepest thanks to the donor, our hero. @ScotPollard31
- Scot had another minor procedure. Yesterday and today weren’t his best days, but he’s still doing better than he was pre heart transplant! We’ll take the bad days knowing that more good ones are on the way. ❤️🩹🤙🏽
- 🎵Well we're movin' on up, to the east side, to a deluxe cardiac step down room in the sky…🎶 Scot is getting off of the ICU floor today and continues to make great progress with his healing! 💪🏼❤️🩹
- He felt good enough to go out on a date with me, our first since getting his new heart! Cheers to many more date nights, my love.❤️🩹
- Today was productive & Scot is feeling stronger. Had 2 hours of post heart transplant education where we learned ALL the things about how to best care for his new gift-no rejection allowed! His remaining wires were removed, he’s off all IV meds & did 3 laps without a walker!💪🏼❤️🩹
00:00 - “Without the organ donor, there is no story, no hope, no transplant. But when there is an organ donor, life, springs from death, sorrow turns to hope, and a terrible loss becomes a gift” We heard Scot’s new heartbeat for the first time, it is such a beautiful sound! Grateful!❤️🩹
00:00 - Day 5 post op and this was his farthest walk yet and first time outside in 16 days! The remaining chest tubes and catheter were removed today and he will likely get to move off of the ICU floor to a step down unit tomorrow! Maybe they’ll have a longer gown for him there.😆💪🏼❤️🩹
00:00 - Scot wanted me to let everyone know that the pre-heart transplant hair is gone, it’s go time! Please keep the prayers coming for Scot, the surgeons, for the donor and his family who lost their loved one. This donor gave the most amazing gift of life and we are forever grateful❤️🩹
- Sometimes with good days come the bad days. Scot dealing with the effects of the meds and feeling pretty crappy today. He had to get a temporary external pacemaker put in to help the new heart wake up more while it gets used to its new home. ❤️ from the kids make him feel better!
