00:00 - I've been calling for a kill switch on stolen mobile phones for a long time. The Met Commissioner fully backs the plan. If phones can be disabled remotely, they'll be far less attractive to thieves. The phone companies should act. If they won't, we must legislate.
00:00 - I agree with @ElvisCostello on this. I've long campaigned to replace the word 'Empire' with 'Excellence' in our honours system. I first raised it in Parliament in 2007! It’s time to modernise the honours system and celebrate the best of Britain.Should the Royal family ditch the word 'empire' from OBEs? Elvis Costello reckons keeping the honour's title is 'unforgiveable' and that it should be rebranded as an 'Order of British Excellence' instead. Is he onto something?

Funding illegal Israeli settlements is not charitable activity. It is extremist activity. Working with Israeli human researchers, I found at least 32 UK charities who have sent £28 million to settlements in recent years. There’s a likely taxpayer subsidy of at least £5 million
