- Since the ousting of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in April last year we have seen tensions escalate in Pakistan with growing protests and Government suppression leading to violence.
- BREAKING: You know that feeling when you help raise $150k to defend a defamation case brought by Peter Dutton against a good bloke like @shanebazzi and then Shane wins! That’s the feeling I have right now as the appeal decision has just been handed down in Shane’s favour.
- The extraordinary and unfair persecution of Imran Khan, places a stain on Pakistan’s government. The latest conviction, relating to his marriage, is a political hit designed to humiliate him and his wife. Shameful stuff.
- There has been a powerful moment of democracy in Pakistan. Millions and millions have voted for Imran Khan’s party despite widespread intimidation, legal & physical attacks and even the deregistering of the party symbol. This reality cannot be ignored. 1/2
- A 32 year old climate activist is about to be imprisoned for 456 days for stopping traffic for 25 minutes. In that 25 minutes the Govt handed $553 475 to fossil fuel corporations.
